Dinie started boxing when he was 14 years old. At the time, his motive for joining was to lose weight and keep fit. After training for a while, he competed in his first competition and won but subsequently lost the second match. The loss didn't deter Dinie's drive and he didn't give up, instead learning how to overcome defeat with a positive attitude. He continued pushing to achieve his dream, which was to represent Singapore. Dinie finally went on to compete at the national level when he was 18. During his training years, he was also a part-time coach at Farrer Park Alliance Boxing Gym.

Think About
Don't eat late at night
Try not to eat too much at night as you'll wear the calories the next morning. Instead, have a healthy dinner in the evening.
Treat yourself
When you reach your goals, reward yourself with a spa treatment, a new outfit or even a weekend break.
