Samuel
|
Samuel was introduced to weight training at 10 years old as part of his swimming training to build up strength in the pool. His visits to the gym became more frequent when he started playing competitive rugby in secondary school. Having a dedicated strength coach then instilled the skills, foundation and values that he still carries with him today.
Having put on a considerable amount of weight in his 30s, Samuel went on a journey of transformation. He explored various nutrition programmes and training systems and through trial and error, he began to get leaner and fitter. Through this personal experience, he formed a clear understanding of the physical and mental aspects of weight management and feels that losing weight and getting fit should be a simple affair.
As an active participant in obstacle course and endurance races, Samuel was one of the first to have completed the Spartan Hurricane Heat 4-hour endurance race in Asia. He earned his double trifecta (completing the Spartan Sprint, Spartan Super and Spartan Beast twice) at Spartan Race Australia in 2016 and went on to complete the Spartan Ultra Beast in Bright, Melbourne - a staggering 44km mountain trail obstacle course race, which only 20 out of 144 participants finished.
Samuel believes that drive and determination are important elements in achieving one's desires - AND having the right people along your journey. He remains extremely humbled by so many others and seeing the hard work they put in daily. He is always learning and will continue to explore more skills and knowledge to better himself and for the benefit of his clients.
